Professor Markus Westner of OTH Regensbug Visits FBM

In November 2019 Professor Markus Westner, Deputy Dean and International Coordinator, Faculty of Computer Sciences and Mathematics, Technical University for Applied Sciences (OTH Regensburg), Germany, visited the Faculty of Business and Management.

Professor Westner spoke with representatives of the School of Business Informatics about the current cooperative agreement between HSE and OTH Regensburg as well as potential for further collaboration. He noted the strong performance of students of the School of Business Informatics currently studying abroad in Regensburg and expressed confidence that the exchange programme between HSE and OTH Regensburg will continue. 

Professor Westner delivered a lecture entitled 'Effective Problem Structuring and Communication for Executive Management'. He spoke with students about his experience of working in large consulting firms and explained how to effectively communicate with clients and prepare materials.

In his lecture, Professor Westner also discussed the importance of soft skills, ways of presenting results and communicating with major clients, and how to interpret, work with, and preserve material using software that optimizes project management and organization. At the end of the lecture, he told students about OTH Regensburg and encouraged them to study in the HSE - OTH Regensburg exchange programme.
