Venue The conference will be held at CNAM of PARIS at the following address :Conservatoire national des arts et métiers2, Rue Conté75141 Paris Cédex 03 Workshop associated with the IEEE Conference on Business Informatics Workshop dates: 29.08-01.09DescriptionWhile industries and corporations have acknowledged the importance of Web 2.0 and started integrating Web 2.0 in their business processes, they have made only limited contributions to the burgeoning knowledge in Web 3.0. Web 3.0, also called the Intelligent Web, has different definitions, but it refers to the provision of a more productive, personalized and intuitive environment through the integration of Semantic Web and in general Artificial Intelligence technologies emphasizing information understanding. Web 3.0 means that our things, our belongings, will have the power to learn, intuit and decide.
Smart Commerce is one of the definitions of Web 3.0, bringing new approaches to e-business. Smart Commerce, along with other Web 3.0 definitions, means that soon we might have fully globalized services that would allow business to transform according to a new step of globalization.
W3SC2016 is an international workshop on advances in theory, applications and different approaches to using Web 3.0 and Smart Commerce. This workshop is about business transformation according to Web 3.0 and its definitions, about new types of services and innovative business models stemming from the high impact of Web 3.0 and Smart Commerce as the next step in globalization. The workshop will also include discussions on relevant topics of Big Data and Big Data Analytics (related to information understanding and new business models).
Goals The increase of Business research activities can be observed in a variety of the fields. Though there have been several workshops on Business and Services focused on Web 3.0 and Smart Commerce, there is little interaction so far among researchers. The aim of the workshop is to encourage activities in this field, and to bring together world-wide researchers with an interest in Web 3.0. Unlike the conventional conferences, this workshop will mainly discuss and explore theoretical and practical problems raised by the participants. Especially, we provide enough discussion parses for understanding the importance of sustainability and the relationships between the Web 3.0 and Computer science, Management science.Long term desire/plan of the workshop of continued co-location with the CBI conference Workshop organizers do hope that the International workshop on Web 3.0 and Smart Commerce will be annual with the CBI conference and will be good place for discussion of theoretical and practical problems raised by participants, which would lead to new collaborations and research activities. The topics of the workshop are:
Duration of the workshop: half day.
There will be 4-5 panel presentations on main aspects of Web 3.0 and Smart commerce impact on modern business processes and business transformation, at the same time there will be call for papers. All received papers will be structured according to the panel presentations, after each presentation there should be discussion on mentioned topic with short resolution at the end. We do not exclude the option to invite an internationally known scholar in Web 3.0 and Smart Commerce to deliver a keynote.
Organizers also would like to have possibility to allow some (1-2) of the authors participate at the workshop remotely via Skype.
Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research papers that are not being considered in another forum. Manuscripts will be from 4 to 8 pages and should be submitted in the IEEE format.
Papers redirected from the main conference will be also considered by the program committee of the workshop.
Proceedings will be published as a general CBI workshop proceedings with CBI.
Submissions should be made through EasyChair system.Publicity Information about the workshop will also be delivered during the Focus Group meeting on Innovations and Standard of the ITU, also information will be sent to the participants of the Internet governance forum (IGF) and workshops which were organized during the forum in 2013 and in 2014.
