Area of Study: 080700.68 Business Informatics

The course is taught at: Faculty of Business Informatics

The key aim of the programme in Business Informatics is to train managers capable of solving business tasks and manage business with the use of information technologies. Programme graduates work in decision-making support, organization of corporate systems, reorganization and optimization of businesses.

The programme involves three specializations:

•       Informational Business Analytics, Head – Tatyana Kravchenko;

•       Information Systems Life Cycle Management, Head – Vladimir Grekoul;

•       Enterprise Architecture, Head – Alexander Gromov.

The education in the master’s programme involves practical work in the Faculty’s partner companies, such as IBS, SAP, CROC, LANIT, 1C, IDS Sheer Russia, Microsoft, Stek, Oracle and others. This gives students the opportunity to successfully absorb theoretical disciplines and gain experience of practical work. As a rule, the students move from intern status to a contracted member of staff with the company while they are still studying on the master’s programme.

The programme graduates are able to carry out systematic work on the improvement of their organizations’ efficiency on the basis of a scientifically supported analysis of their activity. Taking into account the problems of efficiency and the lack of qualified management in most Russian companies and governmental bodies, such experts will be in extremely high demand.
